Lars Gullin talked about his baritone saxophone as “a beautiful instrument having a richness of tone that is deeply warm, having lightness and darkness that offers great possibilities with improvisation” - an accurate description of Gullins life's work. All the fine and deeply personal music he composed gives us an opportunity to preserve it by challenging us to use and play it in our own way and to spread his music to new listeners.

And to the jazz fans that already know and love the music of our most well known international jazz musician of all time, his bittersweet ballads and his warm tonal sounds, to them we hope to bring in a few drops of fresh blood and some new colors - we take on the challange.
